Dan Juhl

Co-Founder

Hybrid Renewables founder Dan Juhl has been involved in the wind power industry for more than 30 years. With extensive experience in the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of wind turbines, Dan has been involved in the development of about 1,500 megawatts of wind generation in his 30+ years of experience in the field.

Dan has been the principal consultant for wind energy projects to Edison Capital, John Deere Capital, Vestas, EWT, Suzlon Turbine Manufacturing, and various public and private utilities throughout the United States and Canada. He has appeared before numerous state and federal governmental bodies advocating wind power and community-based energy development on behalf of landowners, farmers and ranchers.

Doug Baker

Co-Founder

Doug Baker joined Ecolab in 1989 and rose through the ranks to become CEO in 2004 and chairman of the board in 2006. He retired as chief executive officer at the end of 2020. Under his leadership, Ecolab became the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and vital resources.

Baker strongly believes that focusing simultaneously on social, economic and environmental performance is good for society and good for business. During his tenure as CEO, Ecolab gained a global reputation as an innovative leader in sustainability and corporate responsibility.

William McDonough

Co-Founder

William McDonough was first introduced to closed loop material cycles while growing up in Japan and Hong Kong. This experience had a tremendous influence on his life. McDonough’s interests and influence range widely, and he works at scales from the global to the molecular. He is recognized globally as a leader in sustainable development. His vision for a future of abundance for all is helping companies and communities think differently. Together they are changing the world.

McDonough's architecture practice, William McDonough + Partners, operates in Charlottesville, Virginia. McDonough moved his practice from New York City to Charlottesville in 1994 when he was appointed as the Dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia. He served as Dean until 1999.

Clay Miller

Co-Founder

Clay Miller has over 30 years of private equity investing and legal experience, investing in, managing, structuring and executing both public and private M&A and capital market transactions throughout the United States and internationally.

Actively involved in all aspects of capital raising and investment efforts – from fund raising, to the initiation and management of new investment opportunities, to the oversight of portfolio company development – Clay continues to be involved in sourcing new investment opportunities, structuring, financing and transaction.

Clay’s investment experience in a broad range of industries, including a significant track record in the energy services industry, brings valuable experience and knowledge to E2SG's green investment efforts.

Aaron Thibert

VP Project Development

Aaron brings over 20 years of experience working in the renewable energy industry to Hybrid Renewables. Over the last two decades, Aaron has been involved in everything from new product development and launch to the establishment of dealer and installer networks, to – most recently – the oversight and general management of the construction and completion of wind farms. Aaron spends much of his time working on wind / solar project development opportunities together with construction oversight.

Kevin Carpenter

Chief Financial Officer

Kevin has more than 35 years of experience leading a wide variety of financial and operational activities related to driving results for an organization.  Having worked as an investment banker, a Chief Operating Officer and a Chief Financial Officer, Kevin’s specific expertise in finance and accounting, risk management and organizational controls, legal and compliance oversight, and capital deployment/strategic planning provide the foundation for effective stewardship of enterprise assets at Hybrid Renewables.
